I'd already project managed the building of four warehouse units when I decided to use Sutcliffe Construction for the sixth, they were the most professional from the outset and showed willing and a keenness where other providers failed.
I was impressed by the hands on approach and the ‘family run' company installed confidence in me by advising of improvements and cost savings to the scheme that myself and the architect had designed.
Where I'd previously had much input with the contractors for my former four units, with Sutcliffe's I had little need to. The warehouse with gross internal floor area of 34,000sqft was delivered on time and right on budget.

Sutcliffe Construction Ltd were chosen to build the Factory Extension and Separate Office Building from amongst four Companies whom submitted tenders for the building work. Their Tender Presentation was the most comprehensive, professional, and though not the cheapest they were competitive.
Importantly the detail of their presentation left nothing to chance and allowed us to follow the progress structurally and financially. Essentially, we needed to be comfortable with the Sutcliffe Team and feel that culturally we could work together during the build.
They are a very nice team of people whom work hard at relationships and understanding our business needs during the build programme. This was amplified by the Testimonials we read, and the customers we spoke to prior to selecting them.
Although the commencement of the build was delayed for a few weeks due to January Snow, Ice, Solid Ground, the overall date did not slip back much and they worked hard to meet the deadlines.
During the build, they worked very closely with our team, and the Communication links were very good. Team meetings ensured we were all updated with progress. Not surprisingly, some “amendments to the plans were required” and the Sutcliffe Team were always helpful, gave suggestions on alternatives and very importantly created Confidence by “adding to our thinking” and guiding us through any build difficulties.
In hindsight we are fully satisfied that we made a Good Choice, and now the building work is complete we are certain we made the right choice.
