Examples of Recent Projects

Sports and Leisure – Ilkley Rugby Club

The new clubhouse at Ilkley Rugby Club (pictured) was funded predominantly by a huge fundraising effort from the club and local community.  The iconic design echoes the spectacular landscape of the surrounding moors and the building, built on a suspended floor to raise it out of the floodplain, provides changing facilities as well as a fantastic social space for the benefit of the whole community.

Giggleswick School Sports Hall

This design and build project is a fabulous showpiece for the school and was our fourth project for them.  The existing building on the site was demolished and the site levelled before the piles were drilled and construction commenced.  The building is heated by underfloor heating which is powered by a water source heating system from the school's private water supply.

Industrial and Manufacturing – Kay Dee Engineering

This was a phased build project as the client had to remain in operation on site during construction.  Temporary office accommodation was installed on site and phase one of the factory was built.  The client then moved out of their existing premises which were demolished, and phase two of the factory and the new offices were constructed.  The temporary wall between phase 1 and 2 was removed upon completion and the factory was then able to run in full production mode.  This development has created more floor space on the existing site, increasing productivity and value.

Warehousing and Storage – Roll-tec Safety/Fuelproof

Following site clearance, a cut and fill operation was carried out to create a level area on the site.  This building which provides 23,145sqft of warehousing space incorporates 3 overhead cranes and is an addition to their existing premises on the site.

Food and Drink – Cawingredients Ltd

Design and build of the 130,000sqft state of the art soft drinks production facility with ancillary flavour store and office block.  This project commenced with a mass 'cut and fill' operation to provide a level site for the construction.  The main building is made up of four spans, with 'goal post' bracing to optimise space within.

Copper Dragon Brewery

Design and Build of a new unit to house Copper Dragon's new Brewery after they had outgrown their existing premises.  We optimised available space on site, took into account local flood risk and designed and constructed a building which can be easily extended to allow for future growth of this increasingly popular local brewery.

Commercial and Office – Colormatrix Ltd

This extension to an existing premises provides two storey offices, reception area and staff facilities.  The company was still operating from the site during construction so the project was carefully planned and phased to cause minimum disruption.  The building is now a focal point of the colormatrix site.
