The Site
26 pitches of north light roof covering 11,534 square meters of manufacturing floor space with staff continuously working throughout the refurbishment period.
The problems
The roof had general leaks, loose slates, fragile dis-coloured roof lights, leaking gutters, poor access to roof and little or no ventilation in the working area.

The Solution
- Strip off existing slates and glazing
- Install new polycarbonate glazing system, combined with Plastisol steel box profile cladding and insulation together with a new access walkway
- Re-line gutters and install a new air-conditioning and ventilation system

The Outcome
- A bright, light and clean working environment, fully utilising natural light with much improved ventilation and insulation properties.
